A publicação de hoje é sobre uma dica simples para desenvolver habilidades manuais em trabalhos de artesanato e a criatividade. Trata-se de uma ideia para fazer etiquetas para presentes. Assim, você pode criar etiquetas para acompanhar os presentes que oferece. As etiquetas podem ser temáticas ou não. Por exemplo, as etiquetas de Natal dão sempre um toque especial aos presentes. As fotos que apresento são de etiquetas elaboradas por mim. Todas elas irão acompanhar algum artigo da minha loja. Mas, vou fornecer ideias para uma construção divertida de etiquetas de presentes.

Today's post is about a simple tip to develop craftsmanship skills and creativity. The idea is to make tags for gifts. So you can create tags to the gifts you give. Can be themed tags or not. For example, Christmas tags always add a special touch to gifts. The photos I present are from tags made by me. They will go with items from my store. But, I will provide ideas for a fun gift tag construction.

Para quem não tem muita experiência em artesanato, criar uma etiqueta para acompanhar um presente é um bom início, porque a etiqueta faz apenas parte do embrulho. Assim, a pressão da perfeição não se torna tanto um obstáculo à criação.

Uma outra vantagem deste tipo de etiquetas é que não são necessários muitos recursos materiais para serem elaboradas. E, ainda, todos os materiais podem ser reutilizados. Portanto, basta procurar materiais que tenha em casa, sem uso, que talvez encontre o que é necessário para construir uma bonita etiqueta. Another advantage of this tags is that they does not require a lot of resources to be produced. And yet, all the materials can be reused. So, just look for materials that you have at home, unused, and maybe find what you need to create a beautiful tag. Tags can also include natural materials such as flowers, leaves, branches (rose, lavender, fir, oak). Nas etiquetas de hoje não incluo materiais naturais. A minha proposta é reutilizar materiais que tenham em casa e que não estejam a ser utilizados. Assim, não é necessário comprar algo propositadamente para construir as etiquetas. Mas, posso dizer que há muito material neste sentido e que as etiquetas podem resultar numa verdadeira obra de arte, com sobreposição de folhas de várias cores e texturas, pequenos autocolantes com relevo, apliques em metal, tecido, brilhantes, e ter um custo mais significativo associado à sua produção.

In these tags I don't include natural materials. My proposal is to reuse materials that you have at home and that are not in use. Thus, it is not necessary to purposely buy something to build the tags. But, I can say that there is a lot of material for this and that tags can be an artwork, made with different papers of various colors and textures, small embossed stickers, metal and fabric appliqués, strass, and have higher costs associated with materials and production.

Para esta versão de etiquetas, simples e amiga do ambiente, no sentido em que se reutilizam materiais (upcycle), é necessário:
- Várias folhas que encontre em casa, algumas de maior gramagem, como cartões e cartolinas. Pode incluir também qualquer outro tipo de folha (proveniente de impressões, revistas…). As folhas podem estar em branco ou, ainda, ter letras ou desenhos.
- Tesoura (pode utilizar xizato, guilhotina de papel).
- Cola (costumo utilizar a cola branca).
- Arame (ou cordão, fitas de tecido).
- Missangas (podem ser missangas antigas, ou de bijuteria antiga).

- Fita ou outro fio.
- Caneta para escrever uma pequena mensagem ou autocolante com mensagem.

For these simple and environmentally friendly tags (upcycle) it is necessary: 

- Several papers you can find at home, some with heavier weights, such as cards. It can also include any other type of paper (from prints, magazines…). The papers can be blank or have letters or drawings. 

- Scissors (you can use other paper cutter). 

- Glue (I usually use white glue). 

- Wire (or cord, fabric ribbons). 

- Beads (can be old beads, or beads from antique jewelry). 

- Fabric ribbons or thread.

- Pen to write a short message or sticker with a message.

Agora, o passo a passo para a construção das etiquetas em três passos:
#1 Crie uma base da etiqueta com papel com gramagem mais alta, como cartolina ou papelão, com a forma que quiser, as que apresento nas fotos têm forma retangular. As etiquetas podem ser completamente rústicas e ser utilizado um pedaço de cartão de base que, em vez de cortado, é apenas rasgado (esta é uma ideia de etiquetas que poderei desenvolver em publicações posteriores). Se gostar, pode colar outro papel a esta base, mais pequeno para deixar uma margem tipo moldura. Fure o topo da etiqueta, no centro ou de um dos lados, com um furador, mas, no caso do papelão, pode utilizar outro material para fazer um furo, como um compasso, a ponta de um lápis, caneta. Este furo é para prender a etiqueta ao fio que utilizar no embrulho do presente. Mas, também pode simplesmente colar a etiqueta no papel de embrulho, fica bonito, especialmente se a superfície for lisa como quando se embrulha algo que esteja dentro de uma caixa.

Now, the step-by-step for building the tags in three steps: 

#1 Create a base with heavier weight paper, such as cardboard, in any shape you like, the tags I show in the photos are rectangular. The tags can be completely rustic with the card torn rather than cut (this is an idea for tags that I can develop in other publications). If you like it, you can glue other paper to the paperboard base, smaller to leave a frame-like edge. Punch the top of the label, in the center or on one side, with a hole punch, but in the case of cardboard, you can use another material to make a hole, such as a compass, a pencil, a pen. This hole is for attaching the tag to the thread you use to wrap the gift. But you can also just stick the tag on the wrapping paper, it looks nice, especially if the surface is smooth like when you wrap something in a box.

#2 Crie uma flor com material reutilizado para fixar na etiqueta. Nas etiquetas que apresento, criei uma flor em arame de aço. As pétalas foram elaboradas, efetuando alguns círculos abertos no arame e foram incluídas missangas antigas. As pétalas podem ficar com tamanhos diferentes, não é necessário grande rigor. Depois, faz-se o caule, enrolando o arame em torno do caule e individualizando as pétalas, de modo a fixar a forma de uma flor. Pode-se elaborar este trabalho só com o arame, sem as missangas. E, pode-se utilizar cordão em vez do arame, como um cordão fino de sisal, de algodão encerado e até ráfia.

#2 Create a flower with reused material to attach to the tag. In the tags I present, I created a flower with steel wire. The petals were elaborated by making some open circles on the wire and old beads were included. The petals can have different sizes, it is not necessary great rigor. Then, the stem is made, wrapping the wire around the stem and individualizing the petals, in order to fix the shape of a flower. This work can be done only with wire, without beads. And, you can use cord instead of wire, such as thin sisal cord, waxed cotton and even raffia.

#3 Fixe a flor à etiqueta. Se a flor for em cordão pode apenas colá-la. Mas, se for em arame, fixe-a com fio (algodão, sisal, ráfia, lã) ou fita de tecido, fazendo dois pequenos furos na etiqueta, no lugar onde ficará a base das pétalas, por onde entrará a fita. Pode terminar o nó com um bonito laço. Agora, falta o toque final, que é escrever uma mensagem na etiqueta, como um agradecimento. Nas minhas etiquetas colei autocolantes com a indicação de “handmade with love” sobre outro pedaço de cartolina.

#3 Fix the flower to the tag. If the flower is in string you can just glue it. But, if it is wire, fix it with thread (cotton, sisal, raffia, wool) or fabric ribbon, making two small holes in the label, where the base of the petals will be, through which the ribbon will enter. You can finish the knot with a nice bow. Now, add the finishing touch, which is to write a message on the tag, as a thank you. On my labels I add stickers with the indication “handmade with love” onto another piece of cardboard.

Olá, leitores! Um dos itens que estou a fazer por encomenda é a pintura em miniatura da sua criatura fantástica. A ideia é semelhante à da pintura intuitiva do seu anjo, que descrevi nesta publicação. Sobre a sua criatura fantástica basta que me indique 10 palavras sobre si, sobre gostos pessoais, sobre a ideia do que seria a sua criatura fantástica, tendo como base, por exemplo, os seus animais preferidos ou determinadas características… A criatura fantástica pode ser um híbrido e incluir muitos elementos, pode ser completamente bizarra, porque será um ser do imaginário, do inconsciente, do impossível. Pode ainda ser um ser com características minerais, vegetais ou, ainda, de objetos.

Se tiver curiosidade para perceber como um artista visiona a sua criatura fantástica, esta é uma excelente forma para se deixar surpreender. Ao receber as 10 palavras, faço uma apreciação sobre as mesmas de uma forma ampla, de modo que cada palavra possa ser desdobrada, possa florescer e dizer mais. Seguirei, portanto, cada uma das palavras intuitivamente, livremente. E, farei por compreender também a associação da palavra com a pessoa que a indica, porque a mesma palavra pode transmitir coisas diferentes consoante as pessoas. Para isso, tenho em conta a forma como as mensagens são escritas, a ordem das palavras e, se existirem, os blogues, as listas de artigos e lojas nos favoritos… Este ACEO (cartão artístico) personalizado será elaborado sobre papel de elevada qualidade, sem ácido, com gramagem de 200g ou 250g. É utilizada a tinta acrílica. Em termos de cores, seguirei o que as 10 palavras me transmitirem, objetivamente ou intuitivamente, mas, no geral, utilizo muitas cores. A pintura é realizada por camadas, várias camadas ao longo de vários dias, não apenas por uma questão de deixar secar bem a camada anterior (a tinta acrílica é rápida neste aspeto), mas também para deixar aparecer novas ideias e para o trabalho ganhar várias nuances. Assim, pode ser visto muito na pintura e a sensação transmitida pode diferir facilmente, consoante a pessoa que observa. Considero a pintura finalizada quando me agrada visualmente e em termos da simbologia que contém. Para a embalagem, e de modo a proteger a pintura, procedo do seguinte modo: coloco a pintura dentro de um envelope pequenino. Protejo o conjunto entre dois cartões duros ou k-line. Então, faço um embrulho bonito. Do lado de fora do embrulho incluo um presente, algum detalhe adicional, como uma etiqueta elaborada à mão, um botão engraçado, e fecho com cordão. O envio será feito dentro de um envelope almofadado e por correio registado. O valor do trabalho já inclui, além dos materiais, dos processos de produção, a embalagem (que é pronta para oferecer, se for essa a intenção) e o custo do envio.

When I get the 10 words, I ponder on each one, so that each word can be unfolded, can blossom and say more. I will therefore follow each of the words intuitively, freely. And, I will try to understand the association of the word with the person who indicates it, because the same word may have slight differences according to people. To do this, I consider the way messages are written, the word order and, if any, blogs, article lists and favorite stores… This personalized ACEO (art card) will be made on high quality paper, acid free, 200g or 250g. I use acrylic paint. About the colors, I will follow the 10 words, objectively or intuitively, but, in general, I use many colors. The painting is done in layers, several layers over several days, not only for the previous layer dry well (an acrylic paint is quick), but also to let new ideas appear and and to enrich the content of the work. Thus, a lot can be seen in the painting and the feeling can easily differ depending on the person who is watching. I finish the painting when it pleases me visually and in terms of the symbology it contains. For packaging, and to protect the painting, I proceed as follows: I put the painting inside a tiny envelope. I protect the set between two hard cards or k-line. So I make a nice package. On the outside of the package I include a gift, some additional details like a handcrafted tag, a cute button, and a thread. Shipping will be done in a padded envelope and by registered mail. The value of the work already includes, in addition to the materials, the production processes, the packaging (which is ready to offer, if that's the intention) and the shipping.

Você também pode ver a ou as suas “criaturas fantásticas”, numa busca pela sua criatividade. Isto de uma forma saudável, não estou a falar de alucinações e do uso severamente prejudicial de substâncias psicoativas. Falo de uma forma inocente de “expandir a consciência”. Para isso, basta observarmo-nos, os nossos padrões de comportamento, a forma como nos expressamos, as palavras que utilizamos, os temas que nos interessam e, também, os problemas que nos perturbam, as inquietações. Podemos, ainda, considerar o tipo de sonhos que temos. São sonhos fantásticos? São sonhos repetitivos? São sonhos que nos suscitam interesse ou que nos parecem desinteressantes? Não nos lembramos de sonhar? São pesadelos? Temos medo de sonhar? Temos desejo de sonhar? Considerar os sonhos é uma forma de compreendermos mais sobre nós, sobre a forma como vivemos diariamente. Mas, em termos de seres fantásticos, os sonhos, que comummente até são bizarros, podem mostrar alguns. Podemos, então, escrever sobre isto ou até desenhar e pintar as imagens vistas, ter um diário gráfico. Outra forma de ver seres fantásticos é quando determinadas formas nas nuvens, na roupa amontoada, nas pedras, na areia, nos fazem lembrar algum animal ou criatura. Podemos desenhar essa forma tal como a estamos a ver, origina um desenho surpreendente e criativo. Podemos, ainda, olhar para uma fotografia ou pintura de animais e criaturas fantásticas e tentar descrever as sensações e ideias que nos transmitem.

I speak of an innocent way of “expanding consciousness”. For this, it is enough to observe ourselves, our behavior patterns, the way we express ourselves, the words we use, the topics that interest us and, also, the problems that bother us, the concerns. We can also consider what kind of dreams we have. Are they fantastic dreams? Are they repetitive dreams? Are these dreams interesting or uninteresting to us? Do we not remember the dreams? Are they nightmares? Are we afraid to dream? Do we have a desire to dream? Thinking about dreams is a way to understand more about ourselves, about how we live our daily lives. But considering fantastic beings, dreams, which are commonly bizarre, may show a few. We can then write about it or even draw and paint in a journal. Another way to see fantastic beings is when certain shapes in the clouds, in the piled up clothes, in the rocks, in the sand, remind us of some animal or creature. We can draw this shape exactly as we see it, it creates an amazing and creative draw. We can also look at a photograph or painting of animals and fantastic creatures and try to describe the sensations and ideas that emerge.
