Hoje apresento um postal pintado intuitivamente. O foco é um casal de ouriços-cacheiros, que conseguem viver juntos sem que os espinhos sejam um problema um para o outro. Há muito de simbólico nesta arte, nesta ideia. Há uma referência à possibilidade de harmonia, mesmo que existam características não tão perfeitas, mais "espinhosas".

Começar o dia com energia Start the day with energy

Como tenho este trabalho, a criação de arte, a escrita, a bijuteria, a par de um trabalho a tempo inteiro, tenho de começar o dia com energia. Pois, depois do meu dia de trabalho na área académica, que felizmente não me obriga a cumprir rigorosamente o horário, dedico algum tempo às artes, se tiver disposição. Pelo menos, é algo de que gosto bastante e isso, por si só, gera energia. Mas, vou partilhar apenas o meu pequeno-almoço de eleição, que são as papas de aveia.


As I have this job, creating art, writing, jewelry, along with a full-time job, I have to start the day with energy. Well, after my working day in the academic field, luckily, I don't have to strictly comply with my schedule, I dedicate some time to the arts, if I can. At least, it's something I really enjoy and that generates energy. But, I will only share my breakfast of choice, which is porridge.

#1 A receita

Depois de uma ou outra tentativa para conseguir a textura certa das papas de aveia, lá consegui acertar. Utilizo aproximadamente o dobro da água em relação à aveia e levo ao lume com uma pitada de sal até conseguir a textura cremosa que mais me agrada. Percebo ao mexer com a colher de pau. Depois de tirar do lume, junto fruta fresca e oleaginosas. As minhas combinações preferidas são: banana e nozes; pêssego e amêndoas. 

Por vezes, acrescento mel. Gosto de ver o chocolate nas fotos, dá um ar apetitoso, mas nunca colocaria chocolate nas papas de aveia, porque derreteria (não gosto do chocolate derretido) e prefiro as papas cozinhadas e quentes em vez de cruas, deixando os flocos de aveia de molho durante a noite. Mas, adoro chocolate e como chocolate quase todos os dias. Diria todos os dias, mas, às vezes, como hoje, falta-me o stock. Talvez partilhe entretanto um post sobre snacks com chocolate, outra das minhas preferências alimentares para uma energia extra.

Há vários anos que opto por este pequeno-almoço, porque é saudável e super nutritivo e sem dúvida que permite uma manhã inteira de energia, nem costumo fazer nenhum lanche a meio da manhã. Assim, é um pequeno-almoço de eleição para começar o dia com energia.


#1 The recipe 

After one or two attempts to get the texture of the porridge right, I managed to get it right. I use approximately twice as much water as I use oatmeal and heat it with a pinch of salt until I get the creamy texture that I like the most. I notice when stirring with the wooden spoon. After removing from the heat, I add fresh fruit and oilseeds. My favorite combinations are: banana and nuts; peach and almonds. 

Sometimes I add honey. I like to see the chocolate in the photos, it looks appetizing, but I would never put chocolate in the porridge, because it would melt (I don't like the melted chocolate) and I prefer the porridge cooked and hot instead of raw, leaving the oat flakes to soak during the night. But I love chocolate and I eat chocolate almost every day. I would say every day, but sometimes, like today, I run out of stock. Maybe I'll share a post about chocolate snacks in the meantime, another one of my food preferences for extra energy. 

I've been opting for this breakfast for several years now, because it's healthy and super nutritious and it definitely gives me a full morning of energy, I don't usually have a mid-morning snack. Thus, it is a breakfast of choice to start the day with energy.

#2 A foto

A foto que apresento é retirada da internet. Apesar de fazer as papas de aveia todos os dias, e muitas outras refeições das quais gosto bastante e que repito frequentemente e apesar de gostar de dispor os alimentos de forma bonita, nunca me apetece tirar fotos. E, não tiro, não deixo a comida arrefecer. Penso que nunca teria jeito para um blogue de culinária por isto, nem para nenhuma atividade profissional relacionada com a culinária. Não tenho motivação para tirar as fotos, nem para entrar em desafios e competições culinárias.


#2 The photo 

The photo I present is taken from the internet. Despite making porridge every day, and many other meals that I like a lot and that I repeat often and although I like to arrange food in a beautiful way, I never feel like taking pictures. And, I don't take it, I don't leave the food cool. I don't think I would ever be fit for a cooking blog for this, nor for any professional activity related to cooking. I have no motivation to take the pictures, nor to enter culinary challenges and competitions.



#3 A ideia

Gosto de cozinhar em casa, mas a culinária não é uma área de interesse para mim em termos profissionais. Em casa, experimento várias receitas, para repetir e aperfeiçoar as de eleição, e, por isso, gosto muito de consultar blogues de culinária. Têm ideias ótimas e, como são baseadas em experiências prévias e bem explicadas, são uma excelente fonte de dicas para colocar em prática. Há bloggers que têm comentado o meu blogue, o que agradeço, que partilham experiências culinárias maravilhosas e é com muito interesse que as sigo (também agradeço as partilhas das excelentes ideias). Além dos blogues, gosto de experimentar receitas de alguns sites e de alguns chefes de cozinha em particular.


#3 The idea 

I enjoy cooking at home, but cooking is not an area of ​​interest for me professionally. At home, I try out several recipes, to repeat and improve the ones I like best, and that's why I really like to consult cooking blogs. They have great ideas and, as they are based on previous experiences and are well explained, they are an excellent source of tips to put into practice. There are bloggers who have commented on my blog, which I appreciate, who share wonderful culinary experiences and I follow them with great interest (I also appreciate the sharing of the excellent ideas). In addition to blogs, I like to try recipes from some websites and from some chefs in particular.



Em jeito de conclusão, o pequeno-almoço de papas de aveia é um elemento essencial para mim para começar o dia com energia. Há algo que faça a diferença para energizar, desde cedo, o vosso dia?

Argolas #2 Hoop earrings #2

Hoje apresento um par de argolas únicas, de formas imperfeitas, em latão, com uma conjugação de cores compatíveis com a primavera e o verão.

O feeling de primavera-verão destes brincos encontra-se nas suas cores. Há o dourado do sol, o azul do céu, o tom forte das cerejas e o verde das folhas. De uma forma subtil, estes brincos foram criados a pensar numa paisagem solarenga, alegre e acolhedora, de verão.

Este par de argolas é uma bijuteria intemporal, extremamente durável. Pois, é elaborada em latão, que vai adquirindo um tom de ouro mais baço, numa camada superficial que protege da oxidação. As contas são de vidro e cristal checo. Um dos cristais tem um tom de cereja transparente e o outro tem um tom de verde menta opaco.

A largura das argolas é de cerca de 2,7cm e 3cm. A embalagem será bonita, especial, única, com reutilização de materiais sempre que possível.



The spring-summer feeling of these earrings can be found in their colors. There is the gold of the sun, the blue of the sky, the strong tone of the cherries and the green of the leaves. In a subtle way, these earrings were created with a sunny, cheerful and welcoming summer landscape in mind. 

This pair of hoops is a timeless piece of jewelry that is extremely durable. Well, it is made of brass, which acquires a dark gold tone, in a surface layer that protects it from oxidation. The beads are made of Czech glass and glass. One of the crystals is a clear cherry hue and the other is an opaque mint green hue. 

The width of the hoop earrings is about 1.1in and 1.2in. The packaging will be beautiful, special, unique, with reuse of materials whenever possible.

#1 A sensação de primavera

É realmente impressionante como o ambiente nos influencia. E, na primavera, essa influência é notável. Há uma alegria relacionada com o começo da vida, os pássaros marcam a sua presença com belas melodias e voos, muitas vezes em harmonia com o par, e as flores são um estímulo visual pelas suas cores, subtis e únicas. Há a alegria e a beleza características da primavera realçadas pelo aumento da luminosidade. A primavera parece o despertar de um longo sono revigorante.


#1 The feeling of spring

It's really impressive how the environment influences us. And in spring, this influence is remarkable. There is a joy related to the beginning of life, birds mark their presence with beautiful melodies and flights, often in harmony with the pair, and flowers are a visual stimulus for their subtle and unique colors. There is the characteristic joy and beauty of spring enhanced by increased light. Spring feels like awakening from a long, refreshing sleep.



#2 Viver a primavera

O mais importante é que a alegria, a beleza e a luminosidade façam parte da nossa essência. Será essa a fonte de energia para viver plenamente a primavera, os passeios, os convívios, os detalhes que se notam naquilo que nos rodeia, a casa, as roupas, os acessórios. Estes detalhes resumem-se muitas vezes às cores, como, por exemplo, as cores das flores. Uma das coisas mais agradáveis da primavera é a extensão de flores do campo, cheias de cor, nas planícies. Mas, penso que estão a aparecer menos na minha zona, em relação à minha infância.


#2 Living the spring

The most important thing is that joy, beauty and luminosity are part of our essence. This will be the source of energy to fully experience spring, the walks, the socializing, the details that are noticeable in what surrounds us, the house, the clothes, the accessories. These details often boil down to colors, such as the colors of flowers. One of the most pleasant things about spring is the spread of wildflowers, full of color, on plains. But, I think that they are appearing less, in my area, in relation to my childhood.



#3 Energia para o novo

Viver a primavera é também algo subtil, pressupõe uma recetividade ao novo, que é fonte de inspiração. Esta energia pode ser manifestada através de novas atividades, como, por exemplo, começar um diário, começar um diário de sonhos, fazer uma pintura floral para decorar a casa, aprender os benefícios das plantas e flores em aplicações externas, aprender os benefícios das frutas da época.


#3 Energy for the new

Experiencing spring is also something subtle, it presupposes a receptivity to the new, which is a source of inspiration. #1 As cores fortes

Quero começar por salientar que este é apenas um post de opinião, reflexão. É comum ver cores fortes, cores vivas, associadas ao estilo tribal. No princípio, talvez fossem utilizadas as substâncias com efeito colorante tal e qual como eram encontradas na natureza. O sangue, as folhas, algumas ervas, a terra, as cinzas são elementos naturais que podiam ser utilizados como corante. Penso que, se não for a procurar uma forma de camuflagem, as pessoas sentem uma atração primeira para as cores vivas, que terão uma maior relação com a energia, a alegria, a celebração da vida. Talvez, por isso, ocorra uma certa identificação do humano através das cores mais vibrantes: vermelho, avermelhados, acastanhados, verdes, amarelos.


#1 Strong colors 

I want to start by pointing out that this is just an opinion post, a reflection. It is common to see strong colors, bright colors, associated with the tribal style. In the beginning, perhaps substances with a coloring effect were used as they were found in nature. Blood, leaves, some herbs, earth, ashes are natural elements that could be used as a dye. I think that, if not looking for a camouflage, people feel a primary attraction to bright colors, which will have a greater relationship with energy, joy, the celebration of life. Perhaps, for this reason, there is a certain identification of the human through the most vibrant colors: red, reddish, brownish, green, yellow.



#2 As formas imperfeitas

A bijuteria tribal terá formas imperfeitas pelo trabalho manual. Poderão existir algumas assimetrias, diferenças nas contas utilizadas e, certamente, nenhuma peça será exatamente igual a outra. É claro que as técnicas serão aperfeiçoadas ao longo do tempo, de acordo com o desenvolvimento de ferramentas, mas, os adornos iniciais eram caracterizados por formas irregulares pela simplicidade com que eram trabalhados. Penso que, por esse motivo, a bijuteria de inspiração tribal, e até primitiva, pode contribuir para um look mais natural, que remete para a ligação com a natureza.


#2 The imperfect shapes 

Tribal jewelry will be imperfectly shaped by manual work. There may be some asymmetries, differences in the beads used and, certainly, no piece will be exactly the same. Of course, the techniques will be perfected over time, according to the development of tools, but the initial adornments were characterized by irregular shapes due to the simplicity with which they were worked. I think that, for this reason, jewelry with tribal inspiration, and even primitive, can contribute to a more natural look, which refers to the connection with nature.



#3 Os símbolos ancestrais

Há símbolos muito antigos e que, mesmo intuitivamente, transmitem um sentido. Um deles é o círculo, vemos o círculo em astros, em pedras, nas flores. O círculo representa a continuidade, a eternidade e, de certa forma, a origem, o começo e o constante recomeçar da vida. Outro símbolo que gostaria de referir é a espiral, também encontrada na natureza. A espiral pode ser vista como uma expansão e é uma forma muito intrigante associada ao movimento, porque a espiral parece que poderia continuar infinitamente. Os símbolos são vistos, desde o início da vida do ser humano, em desenhos e em adornos, e continuam a ser muito presentes na vida das pessoas.


#3 The ancestral symbols 

There are very old symbols that, even intuitively, convey a meaning. One of them is the circle, we see the circle in stars, in stones, in flowers. The circle represents continuity, eternity and, in a way, the origin, beginning and constant restart of life. Another symbol I would like to mention is the spiral, also found in nature. The spiral can be seen as an expansion and is a very intriguing shape associated with movement, because the spiral looks like it could go on forever. Symbols are seen, since the beginning of human life, in drawings and adornments, and continue to be very present in people's lives.
