Queria ter publicado este texto ontem, no dia de "todos os santos". Mas, como não consegui, publico hoje. Vou apresentar a minha proposta e opinião sobre a decoração com anjos.


I wish I had published this text yesterday, on the day of "all saints". But, as I couldn't, I post it today. I will present my proposal and opinion on decorating with angels.

#1 Qual é a minha opinião sobre integrar anjos na decoração?

Pessoalmente, não gosto nada da decoração vintage com anjos. Parece-me sempre sinistra. No entanto, gosto da representação abstrata de anjos, da desconstrução da imagem e do conceito, e é nesse sentido que elaboro as minhas pinturas de anjos.

O motivo pelo qual gosto de ver e pintar anjos num estilo abstrato é pela possibilidade de destacar o aspeto que associo aos anjos que mais me agrada, que é a energia divina, criadora, cósmica.

No trabalho da imagem está representada a figura de um anjo impassível, com uma energia irradiante, uma luz própria. As cores vivas e aleatórias procuram representar a espontaneidade e o movimento da vida.

Esta é uma pintura em formato pequeno, o seu tamanho é de 2,5 x 3,5 inches, o que equivale a 6,4 x 8,9 cm, que é mais ou menos o tamanho de uma carta de jogar. Falo destas pinturas na publicação "ACEO (Art Cards Editions and Originals)". Apesar de pequenas, estas pinturas podem ser colocadas na parede, mas ficam especialmente bem na decoração de uma estante ou mesa, conforme a que se vê na foto. 

Colocada numa pequena moldura branca, a pintura abstrata do anjo com a energia irradiante de cor rosa, daria um ponto de cor vibrante sem destoar dos tons neutros e claros. O tema da pintura combina, inclusive, com o branco, que se associa aos anjos, ao puro, à luz.


#1 What is my opinion about integrating angels into the decor? 

Personally, I don't like the vintage angel decor at all. It always seems sinister to me. However, I like the abstract representation of angels, the deconstruction of the image and the concept, and it is in this sense that I make my paintings of angels. 

The reason I like to see and paint angels in an abstract style is because I can highlight the aspect that I associate with the angels that I like the most, which is the divine, creative, cosmic energy. 

In the artwork of the image is represented the figure of an impassive angel, with a radiant energy, a light of its own. The bright and random colors seek to represent the spontaneity and movement of life. 

This is a small painting, its size is 2.5 x 3.5 inches, which equates to 6.4 x 8.9 cm, which is about the size of a playing card. I speak of these paintings in the post "ACEO (Art Cards Editions and Originals)". Although small, these paintings can be placed on the wall, but they are especially good for decorating a bookcase or table, as shown in the photo. 

Placed in a small white frame, the abstract painting of the angel with the radiating energy of pink color, would give a vibrant color point without clash with the neutral and light tones. The painting's theme even combines with white, which is associated with angels, with pure, with light.

#2 Que tipo de obras de arte com o tema de anjos elaboro por encomenda?

Faço pinturas intuitivas de anjos por encomenda num trabalho engraçado que funciona como uma espécie de "retrato angélico". Parto de 10 palavras que a pessoa me indica e, a partir daí, elaboro um anjo intuitivamente. Este trabalho é também efetuado em pequeno formato, falei dele na publicação "Como é o seu anjo intuitivo?"

Realizo ainda pinturas com anjos em postais ou em cartões de felicitações. Neste caso, a pintura fica na frente e o verso da folha será deixado em branco para uma mensagem. 

Também é possível realizar pinturas dentro deste estilo abstrato em outras dimensões de papel e, ainda, em tela.

#2 What kind of angel artworks do I make to order? 

I make intuitive paintings of angels to order in a funny work as a kind of "angelic portrait". I start with 10 words that the person indicates to me and, from there, I create an angel intuitively. This work is also done in a small format, I mentioned it in the post "How does your angel looks like?" 

I paint angels on postcards or greeting cards. In this case, the painting is on the front and the back of the paper will be left blank for a message. 

I also paint in other dimensions of paper and on canvas.



#3 Que outras opções existem para colocar uma obra de arte abstrata com anjos?

Para trabalhos pequenos, além de uma mesa ou de uma estante, é uma boa opção agrupá-los com outros num painel ou mesmo na parede. As pinturas pequenas também podem ser colecionadas e guardadas num álbum, num diário ou ser colocadas no meio de um livro.

Para pinturas grandes, escolha um espaço tranquilo e iluminado da casa para realçar a energia cósmica e para promover a meditação. Pode ser um ponto da sala. Ou, pode colocar um anjo abstrato e colorido no hall de entrada como um sinal de boas vindas e de boas energias. O quarto também será uma boa escolha, visto que é uma divisão onde podemos relaxar e estar recetivos às poderosas energias do universo.


#3 What other options are there for placing an abstract artwork with angels? 

For small art, in addition to a table or a bookcase, it is a good option to group them with others on a panel or even on the wall. Small paintings can also be collected and stored in an album, journal or in the middle of a book. 

For large paintings, choose a quiet, light space in the house to enhance cosmic energy and to promote meditation. It could be in the living room. Or, you can place an abstract, colorful angel in the entrance hall as a sign of welcome and good energy. The bedroom will also be a good choice as it is a room where we can relax and be receptive to the powerful energies of the universe.
